Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Visit the Register page and fill in your name, email, and password. You can also sign up instantly using your Google account by clicking Continue with Google.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes. On the login screen click "Continue with Google" and authorise with your Google account. No password is needed.
What roles exist on the platform?
- Attendee — browse events and buy tickets.
- Organiser — create and manage events, view attendees and revenue. Invite-only; contact a superadmin to get an organiser invite link.
- Superadmin — platform-level oversight: all revenue, organiser management.
How do I verify my email?
After registering, check your inbox for a verification email from Tuende Events. Click the link inside to activate your account. Check your spam folder if you do not see it within a few minutes.
Browsing & Discovering Events
How do I find events?
Go to Browse Events. You can search by keyword, filter by category (Tech, Music, Sports, Art, Business, etc.), or browse the featured events on the home page.
What information is shown on an event page?
Each event page shows the title, date and time, location, price, remaining capacity, a countdown timer, the organiser, and a description. There is also a reviews section visible after the event has passed.
What does "Sold Out" mean?
All available tickets have been claimed. The buy button will be replaced with a "Sold Out" notice. Check back — cancelled tickets may free up capacity.
Buying Tickets & M-Pesa Payment
How do I buy a ticket for a paid event?
- Open the event page and click Buy with M-Pesa.
- Enter your Safaricom number (format: 07XXXXXXXX or 254XXXXXXXXX).
- Click Send Payment Request.
- An STK Push prompt will appear on your phone — enter your M-Pesa PIN.
- Once confirmed, your ticket is created and a confirmation email is sent.
How much is charged during testing?
The platform is currently running in sandbox (test) mode. The M-Pesa STK Push will charge KES 1 regardless of the displayed event price. The event price shown on the page is the real price that will apply in production.
How long does M-Pesa payment confirmation take?
Usually 5–30 seconds. The page polls for confirmation automatically. If you approve on your phone and the page has not updated after 90 seconds, check your Tickets page — your ticket may already be there.
What if I cancel the M-Pesa prompt?
The ticket will not be created and no charge will be applied. You can try again from the event page.
How do I reserve a free ticket?
On any free event click Reserve Free Ticket. You must be signed in. No payment is required.
Can I buy more than one ticket for the same event?
No. Each account can hold one active ticket per event to ensure fair access. If you have cancelled a previous ticket you can buy again.
My Tickets
Where can I find my tickets?
Go to Dashboard → My Tickets. All valid, used, and cancelled tickets are listed there.
Will I receive a ticket by email?
Yes. A confirmation email with your unique ticket code and a QR code is sent to your registered email address as soon as the ticket is created.
How does entry work at the event?
Present the QR code on your ticket (from the email or your tickets page) to the event staff. They will scan it to mark you as attended.
Can I download my ticket?
Yes. From the My Tickets page you can download a PDF copy of your ticket with the QR code.
For Organisers
How do I become an organiser?
Organiser accounts are invite-only. A superadmin sends an invite link to your email. Click the link to accept and your account is upgraded to organiser role.
How do I create an event?
Once your account has the organiser role, go to Admin → New Event. Fill in the title, description, date, location, category, price, and capacity. You can also upload a cover image.
How do I view attendees for my event?
Open the event in your Admin panel and navigate to the Attendees tab. You can see each attendee's name, ticket code, and attendance status.
Can I edit or cancel an event?
Yes. From the Admin Events list, click the edit icon next to any event. Note that cancelling an event should be done carefully — existing ticket holders will retain their records.
Where do I see my event revenue?
Each event in the Admin panel shows ticket sales count. The Superadmin Revenue dashboard shows platform-wide revenue with a 2.5% platform fee breakdown.
Admins & Superadmins
What can a superadmin do?
Superadmins can view all platform revenue, manage all events and organisers, invite new organisers, and access system-wide statistics.
How do I invite a new organiser?
From the Superadmin → Organisers page, enter the email of the person to invite and click Send Invite. They will receive a unique link valid for 7 days.
Where can I see QR code scan activity?
Organisers can check attendance from the event's Attendees page. Each ticket shows whether the attendee has checked in.
